What Else Makes Up My Pinergy Bill?
Beyond unit rates and standing charges, your Pinergy bill includes:
- VAT at 9% — applied to all electricity and gas charges. Unit rates shown above exclude VAT and include applicable discounts; annual cost totals include VAT.
- PSO Levy — the Public Service Obligation levy supports renewable energy generation in Ireland. It is set annually by the CRU and applied equally to all suppliers.
- Prepayment service charge — pay-as-you-go customers may be charged an additional annual service fee for meter operation and top-up infrastructure.
