Find the Best Broadband Deal in Your Area!
Our broadband experts at Selectra can help you secure a fast, affordable plan in your area - completely free.
How Does the Comparator Work?
The tool above pulls every consumer plan that is currently active in our Selectra back office and updates several times an hour. There are three modes you can switch between:
- Broadband: home internet plans with no TV bundle, including fibre, cable and 5G fixed wireless.
- Mobile: SIM-only and bill-pay mobile plans, including prepay options.
- Broadband + TV: bundles where TV is included as part of the broadband subscription.
Within each mode you can refine the results by minimum download speed (or minimum data allowance for mobile), maximum monthly price, connection type or network, and one or more specific providers. Results are sorted by promotional price from cheapest to highest, and the first ten matching plans are shown by default — click Show all matching offers to see the rest.
What Do I Need to Know Before Comparing?
Check Coverage With Your Eircode
Not every plan is available everywhere. Fibre availability depends on whether SIRO, eir, NBI or Virgin Media has rolled out in your area, and 5G fixed wireless depends on Three or Vodafone tower coverage. Once you have a shortlist from the comparator, verify it on the provider's site using your Eircode before signing up.
Watch the Promo and the Standard Price
Most Irish broadband plans run a discounted price for the first 6, 9 or 12 months and then revert to a higher standard price. The card shows both, plus the total amount you save during the promo period. A plan that looks cheap can become average after the promo, so factor the standard price into your comparison if you plan to stay past the introductory period.
Contract Length and Cooling Off
Most contracts run 12 or 18 months in Ireland. You always have a 14-day cooling-off period when signing up online or by phone — cancel within that window for a full refund. Outside of it, leaving early usually triggers an exit fee equal to the remaining months.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Comparator
Plans are pulled from our back office and cached for 15 minutes, so changes you make in the BO show up in the comparator within that window. Prices on the provider sites can change without notice; always verify the final price on the provider page before signing up.
Every distinct plan in the back office is shown as its own card. Eir, Vodafone, Sky and the others typically run several speed tiers and several promotional combinations at once, so each one appears as a separate row sorted by price.
Either it has not been added to our back office yet (smaller regional providers especially), or it is no longer being sold to new customers. Check the provider page directly for the very latest tariffs and let us know which plan is missing so we can add it.
No — the comparator is filtered to consumer plans only. Visit the individual provider page (for example Three Broadband) for business tariffs.
The price you see is the introductory monthly price (the promo price). Plans are sorted by that figure ascending, so the top of the list is always the cheapest entry-month deal among the plans matching your filters.
