What Is Now TV?

Now TV is a subscription service that gives you access to a wide range of films, TV shows and bundles. Now TV was launched in Ireland in 2017 to compete with other streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime and provides a flexible way for customers to access Sky content without needing to have a satellite dish installed.

Who Owns Now TV?

Now TV is owned by Sky and was created to make it easier for new customers to get exclusive Sky content without needing to take out a Sky package. Now TV was originally launched in 2012 in the UK and then was later launched in Ireland.

What’s the Difference Between Sky TV and Now TV?

Although they are owned by the same company, there are important differences between Now TV and Sky TV. Here’s a look of what separates Now TV from Sky:

• Just Streaming
  Unlike most Sky packages, Now TV only offers its streaming service instead of the full Sky fibre broadband or the Sky Glass. This means you can access Sky content more easily and for a cheaper price!
• Subscription Service
  Now TV is a subscription service so you pay monthly to be able to use it. However, unlike most Sky services, Now TV isn’t a contract so you can cancel it at any time and you’re not locked in.

• Focused Content
  Now TV doesn’t feature the same amount of content as Sky and has a more focused selection of media that you can stream. However, you can get all the important Sky channels with Now TV!
• Different Pricing
  Since they’re two different products, Now TV has different pricing to Sky. Where with Sky you’re usually paying a lot more with your broadband, TV packages and everything else included, Now TV is offered at a much cheaper rate.

How Can I Get Now TV?

Getting Now TV is a very simple process. First, you will need to sign up to a Now TV account which you can do straight from the mobile app or your computer. Once you’ve signed up for an account and chosen your package, you can then get Now TV set up on your different devices.

How Do I Install Now TV?

If you have a smart TV, all you need to do is navigate to your app store, search for Now TV and download it. You can also do the same if you have an Apple TV or Amazon Fire Stick and then proceed to the set up. To set up Now TV, you’ll need to do the following:
