What About Eir Complaints on Trustpilot?
On the other hand, there have been a few customers who have also had problems with the customer service they’ve received from Eir, particularly when it comes to out of work hours support:
Tech support is supposedly available until 8pm but when you phone the options lead you to a dead end and the call being cancelled. Similarly on the chat support it's an endless cycle of you are next in line but nothing ever happens. Sooner these useless incompetent companies get the boot the better. Also no need for anyone from the marketing team to reach out, maybe start preventing problems than trying to fix them.

This has also been reflected in the delays for getting broadband fix and back online:
They have to reconnect our broadband and as we are client of another provider, they just repaired the line of their clients and leave us without internet for at least 5 days.

Eir has a score of 1.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot. From a total of 2,436 reviews, around 93% gave Eir only a 1 star rating compared to the 4% that gave them 5 stars. It’s still important to remember that many of these reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt since users of review sites do have a tendency not to write positive reviews and turn to them as a way to vent their frustrations.

What Are the Eir Reviews on Google Like?
Google Reviews is another option for looking into the customer experience. Like Trustpilot, Google Reviews can provide a good overview of how customers are treated when they switch Eir, but it can sometimes be difficult since often customers will review individual stores instead. These reviews have been taken from the main Eir Ltd headquarters in Dublin.
What Do Google Reviewers Like About Eir?
Many customers have had a good experience with Eir customer service, citing their staff as knowledgeable and helping them with their issue:
Eir Customer Care: I was very lucky to have got to speak to a man called in Cillian in customer care, he was excellent and very knowledgeable regarding my broadband query. He went above and behond and resolved all my query and followed up with me also. Exceptional at his job!
Some customers have also cited major improvements to Eir’s service after returning to the company stating they have improved a lot:
Just signed up contract with them for broadband, tv and sim card, everything went smoothly, costumer service was much better than years ago it's even hard to compare ,like 2 different companies.
What About Google Complaints About Eir?
On the flip side, there have also been a number of reviews who have had problems with transferring services with Eir:
Customer service??? Just leaves a lot to be desired. When I transferred my broadband to them, they said they would cancel my existing service with Vodafone, never did, Vodafone charged me for another month, still chasing EIR to refund me. Set me up on the wrong payment plan, eventually sorted.
This has also been echoed in other experiences, for example when trying to get broadband installed:
Terrible service. Mobile connection is not stable and very slow, not 5G at all. The company promised to deliver a sim card in a day but it took 5 days. Won't recommend to anyone.
How Does Eir Do Overall on Google?
Eir scores 2.8 out of 5 on Google Reviews although with only 289 reviews in total. Despite the majority of the reviews being 1 star, there is a sizable number of customers who have rated Eir with 5 stars meaning these customers have had a much different experience to those of Trustpilot.
What About the Eir App?
Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the My Eir app on either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Customers should be able to use their My Eir login (or in some cases their Eir Webmail address) on the webpage to see their information. There is however still the Eir TV app that has scored 3.6 out of 5 on the App Store.
