Change your contact number

Meaning that you will actively be paying off the previous resident’s debt, and possibly contributing to your own if you haven’t budgeted for the sudden increase in your electricity and gas bills.

You also won’t be able to benefit from any of the discounts to standard rates for new Bord Gáis customers. In addition, it’s quite probable that the previous tenant defaulted to the more expensive standard rate by not switching every 12 months.

How do I make a complaint to Bord Gáis?

If you would like to raise a complaint with Bord Gáis, first contact their customer care department. If they are unable to resolve your issue or you wish to escalate it further, you can then send them an official complaint via the email below, or by post.

Many customers are unsure of what they need to do when moving in or out of a property when it comes to their energy bills.
