What’s the Yuno Energy Complaints Procedure?

If you’re unhappy with what the customer service team has managed to do for you, you can take the complaint further through the Yuno Energy complaints procedure. Here are the main steps you need to follow:

  1. Complaint Acknowledgment
    When you send in your complaint via email, a letter, or online submission, Yuno Energy will promptly acknowledge its receipt within 2 working days. If you initially raised the complaint by phone and it wasn't resolved, you can expect to hear from us within 2 working days.
  2. Resolution with the Customer Experience Team
    If your complaint proves complex, we'll escalate it to Yuno Energy's Customer Experience Team, overseen by the Head of Customer Experience. Within 8 working days, an agent from the team will get in touch with you, offering a proposed solution or requesting additional information.
  3. Taking It to the Head of Customer Experience
    If you remain unsatisfied, your complaint will be elevated to the Head of Customer Experience for a thorough analysis. You'll receive a final resolution proposal within 5 working days, along with contact details for further escalation if needed.
  4. Getting Compensated for Valid Complaints
    For complaints upheld internally, Yuno Energy commits to paying you a Charter Payment of €30 per breach within 10 working days. This payment may be issued as account credit, a check, or a debit/credit card refund.

When Can I Take the Complaint to the CRU?

If you're considering escalating your complaint to the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities (CRU), remember that you must first go through Yuno Energy's internal complaint process. The CRU will need confirmation that you've completed this step. During their review, Yuno Energy won't hassle you for payment regarding the complaint, but your regular energy charges will continue as usual.

The CRU will carefully assess all relevant documents and, if necessary, provide guidance to Yuno Energy on resolving outstanding issues. If your complaint is upheld, Yuno Energy commits to compensating you within 14 working days and responding to the CRU's decision within 3 weeks. They aim to resolve your complaint within 2 months, but they'll communicate any extensions due to technical procedures.
