The response timelines have been incredibly disappointing—if you can even call it a response at all. I was looking into this company for business, where they could have potentially earned at least EUR 800k annually. However, we ultimately chose a different supplier. I closed my account with several hundred Euros in credit after their budget plan severely overestimated the amount of electricity I would use. I trusted that they would refund the money to my bank account on file as that is what is very clearly stated on their website. Turns out they really don’t like giving money back and will make you jump through as many hoops as they can before they return YOUR money to YOU in the most inconvenient way they can conceive of.

The app is available from both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, and has also had some reviews on both of these sites.

The SSE Airtricity app scores 1.7 out of 5 on the App Store. The typically complaints have been that the app is slow and doesn’t offer the functionality that it should, including difficulty logging in:

Appalling App - Totally unreliable. I switched to SSE from Bord Gais - this app is useless! Constant problems logging in - doesn’t recognise password even after multiple resets. Unbelievably slow when by pure miracle you manage to log in (took me 17 tries to one day!). Tried today to access my latest bill and it’s endlessly scrolling and won’t download the bill. Utterly frustrated customer here! Woeful app!”
